Michael

Michaël was born in Bucarest (Romania), on October 1982, 31st. Now living in France since his very young ages, he went to high school where he studied international trade. After different works in the commercial sector he starts to paint in 2005  in  Normandie, the famous region which inspired grand artists such as Monet, Degas or Renoir  .

Michaël is a self taught artist and he likes to remind that there's no need to have art knowledge to know how to look at an art piece and to appreciate it.

Attracted by the acrylic material, he creates his very first painting in his gardens during summertime, which explains the taste for powerful and shinny colors.

Inspiration comes from a true freedom of being and thinking. Talking with the artist is like counting stories and searching ideals. He says : “Life is made of what you do and who you are but also in what you dream of and expect” Paris offers so much inspiration and the city gives a lot of strength and authenticity that’s why he usually spends time in the Montparnasse neighborhood, well known for artists’ life of the 20th century.  According to Michaël, Dali and Modigliani are one of the best painters.

Using different tools like spatules, sponges, knives, he can also create only with his hands directly on the canvas.

After few exhibitions in Paris including le Carrousel du Louvre in 2009, Michaël takes a chance in the USA. He has many opportunities to show his art work in Los Angeles, Beverly Hills and Glendale. He also collaborates with High Fashion designers like Amy Marie Goetz and Gerardo Reyes. In 2014 he also goes to Miami to show some of his paintings during the Spectrum Art Show, a very high end annual Art show. He also received two awards in 2015, from a Santa Barbara art gallery after participating in an art competition.

The new collection of the artist is made up of a mix of draw and painting. More than creating on canvas, Michaël is developing a technique of sculpting on vintage objects with painting textures. He always takes so much pleasure and feels the passion as time passes. As he repeats : “Art is a story of Heart”.
